Las Vegas--Scott Kay took the opportunity of the Couture show at the Wynn here to unveil his “Protecting the Cross” pendant necklace (below), with the head of a guardian angel resting on a gothic cross and hand-engraved feather wings embracing it. The necklace is available in 18-karat gold vermeil with white sapphire accents (below, top; $2,550) or sterling silver with black spinel accents (below, bottom; $1,500).
“‘Protecting the Cross’ was inspired by spirituality,” Kay said. “I don’t design and name collections without meaning. ‘Protecting the Cross’ took over six months of hand drawing, wax sculpture and hand-perfecting to bring it to its current state.”
Scott Kay’s heart-shaped pendant, hand-forged in rhodium, is set with diamond-cut black spinel ($450).
The hand-knotted black spinel lariat features sterling silver “Guardian” stations set with white sapphires ($1,250).
This ladies sterling silver cuff bracelet is made with black distressed leather cording, a gothic cross featuring black spinel and white sapphire accents ($1,750).
