"Designers of Distinction" Select Silver
Where can a jewelry designer go with silver? To the farthest reaches of innovation and creativity.
Silver is infinitely designable. Drawn into filaments as fine as wire or cast into jewelry of bold, modern geometry, the inherent beauty and lustrous depth of silver makes everything possible.
No wonder “Designers of Distinction” choose silver to express their most exciting concepts.
I began my jewelry designing career working with 14K & 18K gold. Eventually I began to think about combining silver with the gold. If the largest, main structure of the piece was silver I could make it as large & bold as I desired and still it could be relatively affordable. By adding small gold accents the price would not increase by very much. To take that one step further, by designing the gold accents in the form of very delicate, Victorian inspired filigree the price would hardly be effected by the very small gold weight.
I always wanted to design large, bold pieces and the silver allowed that to be possible. The beautiful white color of silver is magnificent especially contrasting with our antiquing which accents the fine detail design depressions.
We find today that sophisticated women are buying silver jewelry because they simply love the look more than the fact that it is less expensive than gold. Our silver pieces are high end. They are all made in our own shop & studio in the USA. The workmanship is the same as we would use on platinum. Everything is split lapped for an outstanding finish.
Over the past few years silver has become a much more important part of most retailer's dollar volume. Since silver has risen so much in value it is now considered more of a precious metal and the public accepts it being used in finer higher priced jewelry such as ours.
